Pinal County to Resume Issuance of Open Burn Permits

Starting October 1st, Pinal County Air Quality will resume issuing open burning permits in Area A, which includes San Tan Valley.

Burn permits allow for the disposal of plant material by open burning during limited daytime hours.

State law prohibits open burning in Area A from May 1 thru September 30. The Pinal County portion of Area A includes Apache Junction, Queen Creek, Gold Canyon, San Tan Valley and portions of Florence. These areas will see open burning permit issuance beginning on October 1.

Key Dates:
As of September 24, 2015, Pinal County Air Quality will issue open burning permits with the exceptions of Area A, Oracle and Dudleyville.

Pinal County Air Quality will resume the issuance of all open burning permits starting October 1, 2015.
